About Arno

How the ARNO profile helps in therapy verses the FIRO-B:

In the New Testament, Paul spoke of behaviors.  Paul's question was not HOW am I behaving, but WHY am I behaving this way? The ARNO profile helps clients understand WHY they react the way they do from a created aspect and not from an evolutionary aspect.  The Arno is a CLINICAL diagnostic tool implemented by National Christian Counselors Association Licensed Temperament Therapists who have been specially trained to assess a individual's UNIQUE God-given temperament.

It is extremely valuable helping clients better understand themselves, and for the counselor to be more effective with each individual need to assess and address counseling goals during treatment.

At Acorns n Bones, clients learn to cope with the past, deal with unresolved traumas in the present to achieve healing, self-awareness, and self-efficacy, and learn to accept and understand themselves as valuable created and unique individuals.

Temperament: A Study Highlighting a Mother’s Personality with Her Infant's Temperament:

..."Temperament has been conceptualized in different ways with...authors emphasizing heritable aspects (Buss &Plomin, 1984) and...environmental factors (Lerner & Lerner, 1983). However, temperament has...been described as the constellation of inborn traits that determines a child’s unique behavioral style and...[and] ways he or she experiences and reacts to the world (Rothbart & Bates, 2006)" (Macedo, Marques, Bos, Maia, Pereira, Soares, & Valente, 2011, p. 533).
