During this time of heightened awareness of the novel Coronavirus, COVID-19, and recent classification by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a global pandemic, CIGNA wants to keep you up to
date on how Cigna Behavioral Health is working to help support our patients with Cigna coverage.
Many behavioral providers have contacted Cigna about delivering telehealth sessions. While CIGNA have been reimbursing for telehealth since 2017, they made some temporary revisions to telehealth
requirements to support continuity of care during this unique situation. The following changes are effective MARCH 17, 2020 through MAY 31, 2020.
Coverage of behavioral telehealth sessions
Behavioral telehealth sessions are available to patients with Cigna coverage and are administered in accordance with their behavioral health benefits! We will provide sessions until MAY 31, 2020
for our CIGNA patients VIA TELEHEALTH using Zoom HIPPA compliant conference calling. ALL patients will have a sign on ID and will receive invitations via text message reminders. Although you will
receive PHONE call reminders, please note that ALL CIGNA patients will be able to have TELEHEALTH through May 31, 2020 in the safety and security of your home. We will provide STATEWIDE provisions
for clients NOT in our area as well! PLEASE PASS THE NEWS! WE WILL BE providing STATE WIDE sessions for CIGNA!
