Many families seek Reunification Therapy wonder why their child's individual psychotherapist cannot facilitate reunification.
Court Involved Therapy, or Reunification Therapy establishes different goals than traditional psychotherapy.
Court Involved and or Reunification Therapy requires the reunification clinician to have advanced training and educaiton in counseling and legal knowledge and education and experience in the courtroom.
Most traditional therapists do not receive this type of training.

Dr. Buchanan holds an earned Summa cum laude Master of Sciences: Forensic Psychology: Mental Health Applications degree, as well as additional professional counseling degrees: Master of Christian Counseling; Master of Arts Professional Counseling. She is a professional member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts to provide CIT ethically and follows specialized guidelines as a clinician LPC. She further has training in victimology, trauma diagnoses and treatment, and domestic violence, and family conflict.
