Court Involved Parent-Child
We are a Professional Member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts
There are DIFFERENT services for court invovled therapy we provide: (1) Court-ordered therapy is for an individual or family who, at any time, is involved in the legal system and ordered by a judge or magistrate to participate in "therapy" with a mental health provider; however COT is not the same as supervised visitation, and neither are the same as Reunification services. (2) Reunification services are court-ordered therapy sessions with the purpose of reuniting parents and children and repairing a damaged parent-child relationship, and occurs in family solutions oriented phases. Reunification therapy is more than therapy and is customized to heal the relationship between a parent and child torn apart by divorce or seperation. Reunification therapy reunites the child and parent under the watchful eye of the court. (3) Supervised Visitation: Supervised visitation allows parents in high conflict or high risk situations access to their children in a safe and supervised environment; (4) Expert Witness. EACH of these services requires different consent, and ethical and professional boundaries.
